I was coaching a celeb voice over a few days ago. He was very unsure about how to read scripts so we split the copy into marked sections and got him to concentrate on each one, then put the whole together. It took a lot of reassurance and practice but in the end the end he produced some good work.
Well blow me down with a feather - watching the 'The Kings Speech' over the weekend if Lionel Logue wasn't doing just the same thing. I guess there is a lot of synergy between speech therapy and getting a great voice-over performance. I highly recommend this film, Colin Firth is spectacular as the stuttering King George VI.
