Happy World Radio Day

6 billion people can listen - @worldradioday - wrd13 the single largest mass media in the world.  But 1 billion still do not have access to radio.  We know that relative to other forms of mass media - newspapers TV etc, radio is a low-cost medium and a great way to reach the (financially) poor and isolated parts of the world. 

You can still listen and take part in radio and learn even if you are illiterate so let's spread the word that radio is very much alive and well and loved by billions across the globe.  Happy World Radio Day everyone. (Data source - UNESCO)
