Or how to sound like a mad cat lady. Listened to a female presenter today who clearly has never listened to herself do a radio interview. As the interviewee answered the questions, in the background she kept saying ..'yes' 'aha' 'yes' 'yes' it made her sound like some crazy gibbering woman. The best advice I can offer is to stay quiet, Listen to the question and if you are doing an interview face-to-face or side-by-side as I recommend - just gently nod in encouragement.
